This post is dedicated to Tea Rinses..
Everything Including the Kitchen Sink Hair Tea |
As I come upon my 2 yr Naturalversary, I seem to look back on what I have learned and applied to my hair. And the main thing I have learned about is moisture and what better way to add moisture with added benefits than doing Tea Rinses.. You see tea rinses are the best.. You can combine different herbs and spices for whatever benefits you may need for not only your hair but also your scalp. With us having herbs and spices at our disposal, I am always trying new ideas and mixes for my hair. You can add the herbs and spices to Green Tea, Black Tea, and even Coffee. Caffeine will help to restore growth and/or prevent abnormal hair loss or should I just say shedding..
You can make mixtures that will add strength, combat dry scalp, combats hair loss, stimulates growth, and so many more benefits with doing Hair Tea Rinses. Lets talk about different Herbs right now and their benefits.
- Strengthening : Fenugreek, Green Tea, Rose, Brahmi, Amla, Horsetail
- Stimulating Growth: Arnica, Rosemary, Burdock Root, Amla, Hibiscus, Fenugreek, Neem
- Combating Hair Loss: Cinnamon, Cayenne Pepper, thyme, Oregano, Rosemary, Burdock Root and so many more.
- Combats Dry Scalp & other scalp issues: Neem, Brahmi, Birch, Burdock Root, Rosemary and so many more.
My daily routine is walking at least 4 miles a day and taking yoga daily. So by the time I get home my hair and scalp needs some attention. I only wash my hair with a shampoo bar ever other week but I co-wash (conditioner washing only) every other day. I use a tea rinse sometimes in the shower or in a spray bottle. But I use them every day to refresh my hair as well as my scalp. I use Hair Teas in place of my Liquid in the LOC Method (Liquid, Oil, Cream). And I continue on with my Hair routine.
Now that you know of some herbs and spices that can do some amazing things for your precious head of hair. How will you implement hair teas into your hair routine?
Until Next Time...
